LEGO and SEGA officially greenlit the production of an official LEGO Ideas set featuring Sonic the Hedgehog a while ago. While we’re still awaiting an official reveal, it looks like fans are now getting a early peek!
A listing on online Mercado Libre leaked what appears to be the first ever photos of the set, which appears to recreate the iconic Green Hill Zone with gold rings, chaos emeralds, and Dr. Robotnik.Â
Sonic LEGO series?
However, rather than marking the start of a new Lego series – as was the case with the recent Mario line – this is a one-off set, part of the Lego Ideas brand.
This brand allows fans to create their own sets which are then submitted to Lego for approval. Sets that get over 10,000 votes are considered for release.
