In Japan, The Pokemon Company has announced that there will be two Special Anime episodes starring Ash Ketchum as the main character.
To begin, it was revealed that there will be a one-off episode named “Distant Blue Sky.” This one-hour program is scheduled to appear on December 23, 2022, and it will focus on a meeting that takes place between Ash and a young man named Haruto.
There has not been any further information provided as of yet.
Aim to Become a Pokemon Master
The second offering is a miniseries with 11 episodes titled “Aim to Become a Pokémon Master.” This series will also star Ash, in addition to Misty and Brock, two of the franchise’s longtime allies. The first episode of this series is scheduled to debut on January 13, 2023.
It would seem that this series would be the “Final Chapter” in the narrative of Ash and Pikachu, which would seem to suggest that Ash will not be the primary character in the new series. Some rumors state that this series will air in 2019.
